Who can I contact for assistance with my application?

Can I invest myself, or do I need a financial advisor?
You are able to invest yourself or with the help of a financial advisor – whichever you prefer and feel more comfortable with.
Where must I send my completed documents?
Please send the completed forms, along with the required documents asked for in the forms, to funds@bateleurcapital.com.
What are the necessary FICA documents required for an individual?
At a minimum, we please need:
- Copy of ID document/ID card
- Proof of residential address (not older than 3 months)
- Proof of bank account details (not older than 3 months)
- Proof of tax number
If there are any additional documents we require, we will let you know. If you are applying as a legal entity, we will be in touch with required documentation.
What can I expect once I have submitted my application?
Once the application has been submitted to the administrator, they will do a final review. If everything is in order, the account will be opened and you will then receive a welcome letter with your client number and appropriate banking details (if you selected to make a deposit).
How will I know once my account has been opened?
Once your account has been opened, you will receive a welcome letter with your client number and appropriate banking details (if you selected to make a deposit).
How will I know once my funds have been invested?
Once your funds have been invested, you will receive a transaction statement from the administrator confirming the investment.
If I have elected for funds to be collected from my account, when will this transaction occur?
The debit will be processed directly from your bank account shortly after your account has been approved and opened.
If I have elected to set up a debit order, what date will this occur?
Debit orders will be processed on the first working day of each month.
What communication will I receive on a regular basis?
On a monthly basis, you will receive your investor statement and the applicable minimum disclosure documents. Should you wish to receive the quarterly commentary delivered straight to your inbox, please subscribe at the bottom of our home page. In addition, you will receive an annual distribution statement (in April each year) and an annual tax statement if your account had a tax event throughout the year.
What is the minimum investment required for the Bateleur Capital funds?
Please see the factsheets of each fund for more information regarding minimum investment. If you are investing via a LISP platform, the respective LISP minimum amount will apply.
Do you provide solutions for TFSAs?
We do have a separate fee class available in the Bateleur Flexible Prescient Fund for tax free savings accounts. Please download the Tax Free Savings Form above.
